A warm and hearty dish hailing from Southern Italy. This Sorrento-style gnocchi in tomato and mozzarella sauce
is so quick and easy to make anyone feel like a real a master-chef. This is a all round family favorite which only requires 3 ingredients and minimal cooking time for any busy family. The key to re creating this perfection is hand made fluffy Gnocchi.
Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina
INGREDIENTS: - 600grams of our fresh Gnocchi - 1 packet of our Tomato & Basil Sugo (450ml) - 200gr Fresh Mozzarella ( or 200gr Baby Bocconcini ) METHOD: -Pre Heat your oven grill to 180C -Bring a pot of water to the boil with some salt. -Once water is rapidly boiling gently add you Gnocchi into pot (Gnocchi with take approx. 2-3mins to cook. They will rise to the surface when ready) -While Gnocchi boils, in a oven safe pan or skillet add your packet of Sugo and put on a low simmer to heat the sauce back up - Once your Gnocchi rises to the surface scoop out of the water and toss it in with your simmering Sugo -Toss your Gnocchi with the Sugo for another minute and let all those flavors soak up together -Take off heat and spread your desired cheese all over the top -Pop your pan or skillet under the grill for a few minutes or until your cheese has melted So simple, so quick & so delicious.
